Happy Monday! Welcome to a new week, full of things that will draw your attention, telling you, "LOOK OVER HERE! PAY ATTENTION TO ME!"
Before this week, day, hour, minute gets completely away from you, can we take a moment to step back, take a deep breath, and allow a bit of presence into your day?
Can you allow yourself to be present in this moment, as it is, right now?
What if this was all that mattered? Imagine a life where you could notice everything around you, not in a hectic way, but in a mindful way. Allowing peace, calm, curiosity to enter this moment.
As Gandalf once so notably said, "... All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us..."
Once we've decided, we can stay in the present moment, allowing ourselves the gift of noticing the snow starting to melt, the leaves starting to sprout, the birds arriving from their migrations.
We are happier, calmer, more focused.
We are less stressed, less hurried and frazzled.
We can enjoy where we are, even in hardships, by knowing that we make each present moment count by truly being in it.
We give ourselves the gift of presence.
So please, notice the trees, the birds, the friends and family near you now. See the things that must get done, yes, but also see the things that can be enjoyed just by noticing them, no matter how small.
