Enjoy Resting (Plus a Retreat!)Sep 11, 2023
I hope you're well this week. This post is late, and to be upfront, this week will be a bit of a skeleton-crew-type week as I'm taking a bit of time off for my birthday and anniversary this week.
And it shocked my husband to his core.
I almost never take time off, or when I do, it's "time off": might not be teaching, but there is office work to do, planning to get done, etc., so it isn't really a break from my business.
After I shocked him by saying I'd take a full break, he woke up over the weekend to me working - old habits die hard I guess - and I immediately realized what I was doing. He wasn't mad, just disappointed (lol).
But I'm trying. So this email is late, and I'm doing the bare minimum in the office as I take time off from teaching Monday and Tuesday this week, and not doing blog or social posts really this week.
Classes return to their live schedule on Wednesday, even if I'm not fully "in the office" before or afterward as I take some time for myself.
I hope you understand, and I really, truly, sincerely hope you take some time for yourself, too.
You're worth it.
